TV Domains Golden Age and Global Recession

Today all over the globe people are loosing their jobs, others are tightening their belts, corporations are downsizing, corporations are cutting charitable giving, many corporations are filing for bankruptcy, and the global economy continues to spiral downward. America is undergoing a significant transformation and has created a climate of “change.” With all that said, Unity 4 Humanity, Inc. (U4H) continues to grow, engage in humanitarian endeavors, remains undaunted, and is actively creating, structuring, and defining the Dot TV Channel Industry during its “golden age.”

During America’s Great Depression people flocked to the cinema in unprecedented numbers and today a parallel phenomenon is taking place. The World Wide Web is becoming increasingly more accessible, web content is becoming more video-centric, and video is a “low priced” if not “free” “depression-proof” amusement for Internet users. Like the Cinema of the Great Depression, Dot TV Channels are not only grounded in social realities, but in many cases comprised of “reality television.” Like the Cinema of yesteryear, Dot TV Channels are re-energizing individuals providing engaging, informative, and entertaining outlets. Unlike Hollywood pictures and traditional television, today’s technological age of Content Management Systems (CMS), hand-held Internet gadgets, high speed Internet connectivity, and the Internet Television merger have allowed Internet users to create and share video content as well as allowed Unity 4 Humanity, Inc. and Dot TV Channels (in a general sense) to re-vitalize businesses.

Dot TV on MTV

Man and Wife TV began as an online relationship talk show launched in late 2006 by legendary hip-hop DJ Fatman Scoop and his wife Shanda Freeman. Fatman Scoop, a popular DJ for New York’s Hot 97 wanted to create an engaging, entertaining, and informative show for couples in the new millennium. The “new age” and “new entity” created by the Internet Television Merger allowed Fatman Scoop and his wife Shanda’s creativity to reign free, and in no time this popular Webisode Series with advice about sex and relationships stemming from Fatman and Sandra’s personal experiences made it to mainstream traditional cable television appearing on MTV.

Channel National Enquirer TV

Unity 4 Humanity, Inc., the first true pioneers of Dot TV, are in the process of launching all .tv domains in their domain portfolio with the UK company Viewmy.tv, Ltd. Channel National Enquirer TV is a recently launched unique Dot TV prototype with many Web 2.0 features and shows tremendous promise. The designed platform still in a state of infancy will allow the direction of this .tv channel to go wherever Internet Television users’ decide to take it. In time it is U4H’s hope that Internet Users will make National Enquirer TV become the leading source for all Hollywood and global celebrity gossip—rivaling that of Hollywood.tv which utilizes Demand Media’s Channelme.tv platform.

What's the deal with Channelme.tv?

The half-baked former MTV celebrity Carson Daly and former MySpace Chief Executive Richard Rosenblatt have paraded around promoting ChannelMe.tv for approximately two years. For close to $30 ChannelMe.tv offers individuals a .tv domain address and social-networking tools including widgets, subscription feeds, blogs and buddy lists. Video and social networking have been among the web’s hottest gimmicky trends which you would think is good news for Rosenblatt and Daly, but unfortunately there is one major difference between their social networking platform and those commonly used by millions of Internet users daily. Channelme.tv is a social networking platform strikingly similar to My Space and You Tube, but individuals have to indirectly pay for it when purchasing a .tv domain and what exactly are they getting?

As it currently exists the ChannelMe.tv social networking platform is limiting the possibilities of .tv domains and targeting very limited markets. Technology experts agree that ChannelMe.tv social networking sites are nothing more than glorified parked pages and in the future will fade away into obscurity. Individuals cannot explore their creativity and are ultimately dissatisfied with the free platform. Corporations cannot create true and accurate corporate representations and as a result do not dare to utilize such gimmick. Many individuals utilizing this social networking platform already realize its limitations and have outgrown it.

Existing before the inception of Demand Media, Unity 4 Humanity since April 2006 has set many standards and benchmarks in the .tv industry.

Live Suicide on Dot TV

Although young people crying out for help in web message boards and eventually committing suicide is not a new occurrence, this live streaming broadcast is certainly the first “live suicide” on a Dot TV. Anthony Galima, CEO of Unity 4 Humanity, and Dot TV pioneer said, “The death of Abraham Biggs is a beyond tragic story. This is a horrible way for the Dot TV extension to get global exposure. My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Abraham Biggs and the viewing audience that witnessed this traumatic event. Justin.tv is a wonderful Dot TV Channel, and I hope they will continue to provide their free services and move past this horribly sad incident. I hope those who knew Abraham celebrate the way he lived, not his untimely death.” In Abraham’s suicide note he wrote, “I have come to believe that my life has all been meaningless. I keep trying and I keep failing. I have thought about and attempted suicide many times in the past. I used to think of my failure as some mystical way of telling me that I was really meant for something meaningful.” Abraham did have a meaningful life and he will always be remembered amongst his friends, family, and in the pages of Dot TV’s history.

Death of Analog TV

For some time now the Internet and Television have been seamlessly merging. Since 2006, Unity 4 Humanity, Inc. has worked to become the most popular destination and leading broadcaster of video and Interactive Television. The Internet Television Merger, interactive commercials on traditional television, Dot TV domains, and web sites becoming pieces of software compatible across computers, cell phones, hand held devices, and now Televisions will allow “TV” generally speaking to become “Interactive.” Anthony Galima, CEO and Dot TV Domain Pioneer said, “Internet Television viewers not only experience, but participate in producing and broadcasting all forms of video. A variety of technological factors, coupled with Internet user trends and behaviors will allow individuals in the immediate future to have personal relationships with TV. For the individual, they will still have a remote and utilize the television just as they have for so many years before, but Television as we know it will be different. Interactive commercials, television on demand, and even movies will be accessible through ordinary television sets.”
